Nana is a wonderful animated series made for older teens or adults. Below are most of the main character profiles and how they intermix with the other characters on this wonderful series. I would not suggest reading this until you have read my review of the series Nana which can be found on my profile page. Also be looking for my upcoming articles which will profile the members of both Trapnest and BLAST.
Nana Osaki- One of the two main characters in this wonderful series she moves to Tokyo to become a hit singer. She has a strong personality. Nana
Ren Honjo- This is Nana O’s boyfriend from back home. He left her in their hometown and moved to Tokyo to become the popular guitar player for a famous band named Trapnest. He had a troubled and painful childhood, and was abandoned in a warehouse. He loves Nana O and understands her as a person. Ren ends up proposing to Nana O towards the end of the series.
Takumi Ichinose- Trapnest’s genius musician has led them straight to the top of the music charts. He will stop at nothing to get whatever he desires including Nana K. He is ruthless and selfish but is willing to give Nana K a good life and marry her when she becomes pregnant and is not sure whether the child is Nobuo’s or Takumi’s. He is Nobuo Terashima’s rival not only for Nana K’s heart but also in musical talents as well.
Nana Komatsu- The other main character in the Nana series, she is moving to Tokyo to be with her boyfriend Shoji Endo, who ends up cheating on her. Nana K falls in love easily and experiences a series of bad relationships in this series. She loves Trapnest but also loves her room mates band BLAST. She is immature, and makes rash decisions but she is looking for love. She earned her nickname Hachi (dog) from Nana O but it is said in love.
Shoji Endo- This is Nana K’s boyfriend at the beginning of the series. He moved to Tokyo to get into art school. Shoji and Nana K have been having a long distance relationship. When he got into school Nana K hopped on a train and came to Tokyo to meet him. He and Nana K started out as friends in their hometown, and then a relationship developed, while separated he was faithful to Nana K. Shoji stayed faithful to Nana K until this very pretty girl starts working at the same dinner as him. He cannot help himself and claims he loves both girls. Sachiko ends up winning Shoji’s heart in the end, when Nana K finds out about the secret affair.
Nobuo Terashima- This guy is the songwriter and guitar player for BLAST. He was one of Nana O’s first friends in their hometown and part of the original band. He was the heir to his family’s hotel business but he gave it all up to pursue his passion for music. He ends up moving to Tokyo to be in a band with Nana O and in the process falls in love with Nana K. They have a brief affair, then Nana K becomes pregnant and he steps aside so that Takumi Ichinose can provide for Nana K and the baby regardless of if he is the father or not. He never stopped caring for Nana K though.
