Holiday Ham Leftover Fixes

So you cooked the perfect ham for the holidays, set the table, and enjoyed a holiday feast. Now the guests have left and your left with the rest of the ham. Dont waste your money, I have some easy fixes for meals that you can turn that holiday ham into.

Ham and Potatoes

Cube up some ham and throw it in with a box of Loaded Potatoes from Betty Crocker. Since the ham is already cooked all you have to do is follow the directions on the box and you have a complete meal for the whole family.

BBQ Shredded Ham Sandwiches

Shred some

of that delicious ham up and throw it into a skillet. Turn the burner on a low setting and pour in your favorite BBQ sauce. Wait till it is warmed up and you can serve it on sandwiches, over mashed potatoes, or just by itself. This is a favorite with the kids in my home and its cheap to.

Ham Steaks

Got a favorite steak sauce? Or glaze? Slice some medium thick slices of ham and marinate. On a low

setting in a skillet gently brown the ham on each side and serve with your favorite side dishes. Its quick, easy, and for me cheap. Dont have a favorite glaze? Try honey with some regular mustard. Its got a sweet but tangy taste that my kids love.

Ham and Vegetable Soup

If you got a boneless ham get some ham seasoning, then cube up the ham. If you got a ham with the bone in then throw the bone in to make a very nice seasoning (make sure to remove bones from soup before serving). In a large pot throw the ham, some broth, and your choice of vegetables or even noodles together. Cook until warm (or noodles are done if used). Although this option is not as quick as the others its very tasty and what you dont use that night it can be easily stored or frozen for future dinners.
